Camp Strand
Camp Strand, our local beach and true hidden gem – 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive – straight down the hill.
 
A swimmers paradise with calm waters. Bring a picnic, water and sun cream.
 
Please note there are no public toilets at this beach. Miles of sandy beach to explore which will bring you to shore acre if you walk west and Bunawonder, Derrymore if you head east.
Glentenassig Woods and Lakes
Glentenassig woods and lakes – 15 minute drive – loop walks – boardwalk around upper lake - picnic areas.

Castlegregory and Maharees
Castlegregory and Maharees – 10-15 minute drive – watersports, surfing and scuba diving with lots of sandy beaches. Local bars, restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Local Walks
Local walks - Visit the stepping stones on the river Finglas.
 
At main exit turn right - walk up road for approx. 1km and turn left on to Dingle Way walk - 500m down the lane you will find the stepping stones - feel free to continue east or west if you are feeling energetic!

Climb Caherconree
Climb Caherconree - It is a majestic backdrop to our glamping site. Whether you wish to climb up to the promontory Fort (approx 60 mins+ ) or all the way to the top (90+ mins) you will need good shoes, snacks, water, sun cream and an extra layer as it's a little colder on top.
 
The spectacular view is literally out of this world. Always check the weather forecast before setting off.
 
There is parking available at the foot of the climb.
 
Turn right when exiting the site and follow the road all the way until you come to the signage - 10 min drive.

  • Sandy Feet Pet Farm – 7 minute drive – 20 minute walk or 6 minute drive – visit a beautiful farm setting with the most adorable rare pets to greet you - cafe and restaurant onsite with delicious treats. Parking available. Further details on sandyfeetfarm.ie and instagram.
  • Killelton Medieval Church Ruins - From the stepping stones keep walking east along the Dingle way until you come to Killelton Church ruins which is a medieval  structure dating back to the ninth century AD. Allow one hour to get there.
  • Inch Beach - 20 minute drive – take the scenic route over Bóthar na gCloch – at exit turn right and keep going uphill until you come down the other side – the scenery is spectacular. Swimming, surfing and wild walks. Local bars, restaurants and coffee shops nearby.
  • Annascaul Village – 20 minute drive - Lovely walks. You can visit Annascaul lake and the home of the famous explorer Tom Crean – The South pole Inn serving great food and drink.
  • Stradbally & Fermoyle Beach – 15 minute drive – experience a wild open beach – ideal for surfing enthusiasts or a good invigorating walk!
  • Brandon & Cloghane – 30 minute drive – Visit beautiful Cloghane Village and Brandon Bay – drive all the way to the edge of the earth which is the spectacular Brandon point. Have a rest at the stunning Murphys bar at Brandon Pier.
  • Dingle and Slea Head – 40+ minute drive – take the scenic route over Conor Pass and stop off to visit Pedlars lake on the way. Drive out past Dingle to do the Slea Head Drive – make regular stops as the scenery is spectacular – look out for An Fear Marbh, The Three Sisters and the Blasket Centre. The amazing Ventry beach and Coumeenole beach are also on the route.  
  • The Great Blasket Island – The boat trip to the blasket is out of this world. Experience the remote beauty of Peig Sayers home – walk along the white strand and say hello to all the seals. A truly unforgettable experience. Bring a picnic, water, a hat and sun cream!
  • Dingle Town – 35 minute drive - Take a boat trip around Dingle Bay to see beautiful dolphins, whales and other wild sea life. Take a walk around town and savour the local food and crafts. Visit the aquarium at Dingle Oceanworld. Local bars, restaurants and coffee shops nearby.
  • Blennerville Windmill Centre – 12 minute drive towards Tralee – A world famous landmark – enjoy the tour of the mill and exhibition centre.
  • Tralee Town – 15 minute drive – Tralee has lots of attractions – The Aqua Dome – Tralee Bay Wetlands centre – Cinema Tralee Omniplex – Ashe Museum – Tralee Town Park – visit the beautiful Rose gardens - Ballyseedy Woods – great walks! Fantastic shopping in town along with great bars, restaurants and coffee shops. More details on tralee.ie.
  • Manor West Shopping Centre, Tralee – 20 minute drive - lots of shops - bowling alley - Bowling Buddies - restaurants and coffee shops also nearby.
